Minimalist, Zero-Waste Advocate, Friend

Hi there, friend! My name is Annette, I'm 18 years old, and I just graduated from high school in May of 2019 (finally!) I try my best to live a zero-waste lifestyle and I'm always hungry for new ways to practice mindfulness. I find that most of my joy comes in being a music fanatic, a lover of all things with scales, feathers, and fur, a crazy little artist, and one huge vessel of love to everyone who needs it! Here on this minuscule portion on the vast Internet, you'll find an outlet to express compassion and love for others, uplifting posts for your radical self-confidence, and resources to help you through the bad days (because we all get them, unfortunately).

Ever since I was just a toddler, I've had a fond fascination with nature, animals, and anything full of life! I have always loved to help people, whether it was through silly little ice-cream stands on hot summer days, or by simply being a friend to those who had none. I'm a firm believer in equality for all, as we were made to respect our fellow brothers and sisters, and live in harmony together (though, this is clearly not the case, as you can see in any news article or advertisement rudely bashing a certain person or group of people). On my website, you'll find only positivity, acceptance, and love! Always feel free to message me, email me, or check out my YouTube channel linked in my Contact Me page.

I also want this space to thank my incredible, incredible family for everything. Without them, I wouldn't be here anymore. My life would have been cut much too short, but because I have the most amazing parents in the world, I'm still here. I'm so happy that they love me and support me through my struggles. I love them to the ends of the Earth. They mean everything to me, and I pray that someday I will be able to show them how much they mean to me. I don't know how I will do that, but one of my dreams for this website is that it will flourish someday into a beautiful blossom of encouragement, love, and acceptance for everyone, no matter where they are in life --

Mom, Dad, thank you for saving my life several times. I'm so, so sorry for putting you through such turmoil, but I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have parents like you. I hope, if my website grows eventually, that you will be proud of me and I promise to show you my love for you more often than I do now. Thank you for everything -- your love, your strength, and your compassion. I love you forever and always.

To David and Lucas -- thank you for being the best possible brothers to me. I could never fathom having different siblings, as you both are the kindest, loving, compassionate, helpful brothers in the world to me. I love you both so, so dearly, and please never forget that I will always be here to uplift you, cry with you, and cheer you on. You have been with me in my worst, and for that I am most sincerely grateful. Thank you both for being here for me, I will always hold you closest in my heart for as long as it beats.

I also want to thank my Savior, Creator, Father, Jesus Christ. Without you, I would not be here. Thank you for your unfathomable love and mercy. I am so blessed to know you, to follow you, and to love you for all of my life, both on this Earth and in your Holy Temple. I love you, and thank you for your new mercies everyday.

And, as always, to everyone in this life:

It is all too easy to create your demons; the difficult part is remembering you are stronger than them. There will be pain, and there will be tears -- but do not let that deter you away from fighting those voices in your head. Do not look back and reminisce on your struggles; instead, look toward the future and imagine your life without those monsters in your head. You may not think you are capable, or maybe you doubt your strength; if so, just remember that you have these struggles for a reason, and you would not have them if you were not strong enough to fight back. You are never alone. Not now, not later, not ever. We are here for you.

Keep fighting, friend; please, never stop fighting. You do deserve love, regardless of what you believe.
